YIN YOGA RETREAT
Escape to Grundy Lake Provincial Park for a restorative weekend of canoe camping and yoga in the backcountry. Designed with a relaxed pace and only one 190 m mandatory portage, this experience offers a gentle introduction to backcountry canoe tripping while creating space to slow down, unplug, and reconnect with yourself in nature.
Throughout the weekend, you’ll learn foundational canoe and backcountry camping skills. For those looking for a little more adventure, day 2 includes an optional 850 m portage from Gurd Lake to Beaver Lake for a scenic day paddle.
This retreat also weaves together movement, mindfulness, and self-reflection through a series of wellness offerings led by Michelle Peragine. Mornings begin with Rise and Release yin yoga sessions designed to gently awaken the body, while evenings close with deeply restorative Yoga Nidra practices intended to calm the nervous system and promote rest and relaxation.
Each participant will also receive an individual oracle/tarot reading. These intuitive card readings are intended to offer reflection, guidance, and insight, while creating space to pause and reconnect with what may be surfacing internally throughout the retreat experience.
Participants will also have the option to add on personalized Human Design or Astrology readings (+$17/each). Human Design readings explore your energetic blueprint, including how you are naturally designed to make decisions, interact with the world, and operate with less resistance. Astrology readings focus on your birth chart, including your Sun, Moon, and Rising signs, to provide insight into your personality, emotional world, and how you move through life. Already familiar with your Big 3? Participants may alternatively choose a reading focused on their Venus, Mars, and Mercury placements.

Human Design is a system that functions as a personalized energetic blueprint or user manual for how an individual is designed to interact with the world and identifying their "True self" versus their "Not-self," which is who they have been conditioned to be by society. It is intended for experimentation for real life, rather than just an understanding. It is a permission slip to operate how you are truly designed.
Type: Determine your fundamental energy and your outward aura.
Strategy: The best way for your type to navigate life and make opportunities happen with the least resistance.
Best Environment: Relates to the orientation of your physical environment, the concept and quality of a space that supports you best.
-
We all have a unique way of expressing ourselves in life. The three big components of your birth chart give you a snippet, like a celestial starter kit into your core identity, your emotional inner world and how you are perceived by others (e.g., someone who may have the same sun sign as you will be perceived differently because their moon and rising sign expresses it in a different way).
Sun Sign: Represents your fundamental personality; defining who you are at your core.
Moon Sign: Represents your subconscious, your true needs, and what makes you comfortable.
Rising Sign: Represents the energy you put out into the world, your first impression on others.
Already familiar with your Big 3? Participants may alternatively choose a reading focused on their Venus, Mars, and Mercury placements.
